Bowling and Social activities for 2024
The end of season bowler's meeting will be held on Thursday November 7th where the officers for 2024 will be elected. The club AGM will follow later in November where the new Management Committee will be confirmed.
New notice -
Until the green closes at the end of September non members will have the opportunity to hire a rink to play bowls. No experience necessary and all that is required is a pair of flat soled shoes. Availability will be listed on www.play-bowls.com and more dates will be added until the end of the season.
The latest Social Calendar is available to download from the 'Social Section' tab.
The Management Committee have requested that members still use the indoor spaces with caution, and respect for other people's space.
All social events including bingo and film nights, cribbage, and short mat bowling have run through the winter and events continue throughout the summer. New Social Members are most welcome.
====================================================================================
The club has 65 men and women playing members and 150 social members. We have one of the best greens in the area for outdoor bowling in the spring and summer. During the autumn and winter months we have indoor carpet bowls and a full range of social activities throughout the year.
Please feel free to browse the website where you will be able to keep up to date with all the latest results, social events and club news.
Members - If you have any great photos for our gallery or items for our news page then make sure you share them with us!
Guests - interested in joining our club as a player or social member? We would love to hear from you and will offer you a warm welcome at our club. We are behind what was the NatWest bank in the centre of the village. If you turn up and introduce yourself any Monday evening from April to September, you may be able to join in a casual bowling and coaching session. The contact page has a location map.
Anyone wishing to visit the club to try or just to watch the bowling is most welcome. The fixture tab will list all the home games.
